Obstetrics and gynecology nursing refers to the special care for women during pregnancy and childbirth and in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the female reproductive organs. Obstetrical nurses perform postoperative care on a surgical unit, cardiac monitoring, vascular monitoring, health assessments and stress test evaluations.
